gloves for parts washer

Just curious what some of you guys use for hand protection in a parts washer. Have tried nitrile and other throwaway gloves, but they always leak after being exposed to parts cleaning solvent for a period of time. Have a pair of old non throwaway gloves, but they are too bulky and stiff for small parts. Something like the old Playtex living gloves but resistant to parts cleaning solvent? Thanks, Ron.

Trick I learned a long time ago using the rental parts washers was to put some atf in the fluid every time they changed the fluid. One quart seemed to make a huge difference in how bad the fluid hurts your skin.

An even better idea is to get rid of the harsh cleaners completely... http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...SW8_0006396682

Simple Green is available in several grades and is an excellent replacement as well as being cheaper.

Sol-Vex gloves are great, and last forever. Get them at MSC/JL, or cleaning supply companies.

In my case , I don't see adding ATF to the mix from the start, when I'm going to get plenty in there anyway...to the point where the stuff won't air dry on my parts anymore.
But, to each, his own.

Can't stress enough to the younger fellows...the older folks should know by now. If you are determined to use the caustic solutions you had better be wearing protection...anything that touches the skin is absorbed directly into the body and will take it's toll on you down the road. Good enough reason to swap to less hazardous solutions. Be safe and live to race in your twilight years. ;)

Does the Ozzy Juice stuff work well?

I have never used it, but it has been adopted by the aircraft industry and we all know how anal they can be lol. That was just one example.

The only problem I have had withe Sol-Vex gloves is they don't fit skin tight for small parts.
