Good afternoon gang - By this time I should have been on my way to LV but am now in Morristown ,NJ at a truck stop getting some repairs done .

After a few phone calls to friends at the track I'm told its not ,let me repeat-- not raining there and the TnT is still on for today .I'm also told that many cars ( and racers) came in last evening and this morning .Yes , I know tonights and tommorows outlook isn't very rosy but the weekend forecast is terrific so saddle-up and get here .

I should be out of here in an hour or two and back on 287 North headed to the track ......

Raining here now. Yes tomorrow looks unsettled but sat and Sunday are supposed to be pristine.

Lots of rigs here indeed.

Like they say - better late than never - and it applies here as I just pulled in and set up camp . And then it started to rain again .

This afternoon's test n tune only lasted a few hours before the wet stuff arrived but those who took advantage said the traction ( and the track ) were fine with no issues .

Tommorow we're slated to start early but at this point I'd say thats doubtful as it will take hours in the AM just to dry the place out .

Good morning - And its anything but nice here at the Valley as it is now cool and damp with a slight breeze but at least its not raining at the moment .

Tech will be open in the lanes in about an hour and but as for qualifing - well ,it won't happen for awhile today .

Soon I'll get myself moving and get out for some pics as I got an email from Kenny that said he can't make it here this weekend and I damn well better do a great job in his absence if I want to keep my job and stay at my current pay grade .What could he possibly have to do today thats more important than a Lucas Oil Series race ? And now all the work is on my shoulders ....Once again.......Hmmmmmmm ! ! !

Well they tried ! ! ! The staff here and the crack NHRA D1 crew brought out all their equipment and had the track moving in the right direction when the skies opened up and they bagged it for the moment .Good news ?? They are doing tech house calls so we don't have to drag 'em out in the rain - thanks guys ! !

Attention in the pits -- -- We are done for the day .More rain coming this afternoon .Tech is open until 5pm .

Tommorow we will receive two qualifing / time trials - all sportsman classes included .If time permits there will be some 1st rounds .Remember Saturday is race day next door at the round track so 5 pm is the limit .

Smoke 'em if ya got 'em and break out the adult beverages .........

Some guys are just born lucky- and don't always know it .Let me introduce you to Al & Shirley Mark - folks from up here .....well close - they're from Mass . Anyway Al's been a longtime member of ASRA and has a '69 Camaro A/SA that is just gorgeous and Shirley always been a volunteer for them .

Anyhow this morning Shirley told me their RV was a little dirty and she needed to spiff it up.What I witnessed in the next hour you can't make up .Some guys really don't know when they've been blessed with a woman who gets it ............And it was raining while all this was going on ! ! !
