Fuel Pump recommendations?

SBC Superstocker (327/250-270) gonna replace fuel pump. (currently old Holley blue). Also regulator. Don't want to go broke but will pay for something decent also want MADE IN USA! (if...we still make anything in the USA....)
Any thoughts?
Thanks

magnafuel 275 and regulator would be my recommendation. The aeromotive is a good piece as well. We sell both, mostly magnafuel on carbureted cars and aeromotive on the EFI stuff

I would shy away from the Magna fuel stuff. My buddy bought one of their pumps and it runs erratically. He contacted their tech line and they were no help at all. Still not sure what is the problem with that pump. It speeds up and down. We even wired it direct to the battery to make sure it wasn't a wiring issue. Magna Fuel would not replace the pump even though it was new. Crappy customer service if you ask me.
I am in the same boat as you. I have 2 holley blue pumps on my car that are very old. They have been incredibly reliable. I am not sure what I will use when I change them out. Probably Aeromotive or Weldon.

Re: Fuel Pump recommendations?

Most fuel pumps either magna fuel or aeromotive require a relay between pump and power source as do electric water pumps

I have relays on my water and fuel pump, but I think they are more recommended than required. A relay is just a remote switch. It takes the high amp switch that activates current to the device and moves it out of the drivers area. It's triggered by a low amp switch in the cockpit. I have breakers on everything, too.
