Air Lift - Air Bag
My brother and I just installed an Air Lift air bag on the right side of our Chevelle Wagon Stocker. How much initial air pressure should we run? Also, what do you guys think the maximum air pressure range would be? I am just trying to get a low/high range so we don't go overboard.

Re: Air Lift - Air Bag
I've been there , done that ; save yourself a lot of aggravation and disappointment and forget the airbag idea . The best plan of attack is stock rear springs , a good set of control arms a rear bar like HRpartsNstuff sells . You won't be sorry .

Re: Air Lift - Air Bag
We tried them on the Malibu, before the $$$ for an ARB materialized. It does help with the body roll issue. We started at 8# and didn't go over 15#...your experience may vary, but I recall we were advised not to go lower than 5#.

But to answer your question, I wouldn't go lower than 5#, and no higher than 15#. A lot of the range for me depended on tire clearance. The ARB instantly took the body roll/twist right out of the launch. Before and after shots below. |
