Indy Classes

28 SS/AH cars. That will be a great show. 5 Rounds. I'm not sure too many can run that many rounds. 7 in my class SS/KA. Just lots of cars with 200+. I haven't looked at B/SA. Should be about 60 or so. Gonna be a fun race.

I think I counted 21 entered in B. It should be a very entertaining indy.

Jeff, actually there are 29. Harold Leiter is listed in SS/AA, but he will be in SS/AH because all 1968 Hemi Cudas and Darts have to run in SS/AH.

It's a shame that just S/SS filled up, I remember when Comp used to have over a 100 cars entered. If you look, there are only 16 funny cars and 22 top fuel. Also, Pro Stock isn't even close. The .90 classes aren't even close. Not every one could have sold off and bought Stock or Super Stockers. So what's happening to the other classes? Is it the economy or are people just turning away from the NHRA way of doing business? Food for thought!

Just shows where the roots of NHRA really are.

I know 2 people that have ran the Super classes since day 1 at indy and they ran Modified and Super Stock before that, btw this is their 50th year of racing NHRA. Now that's dedicated.

Re: Indy Classes

200 entries in each class is impressive.

A good sign for class racing indeed.

I just wished NHRA would turn off the AHFS for this event ( like at the National Opens) and let all 400 of those drivers have at it....what a show that would be ! :)

Re: Indy Classes

Indy is a very long event, and it has more history and meaning to stock and super stock racers. For the .90 racers, I would say the event is too long and it's almost just another national for them.
