CLASS RACER FORUM - Matching GM "840" Cast BBC Heads (A21-9)

Hey everyone, I have a set of GM "840" cast closed chambered BBC heads. They have matching date codes of A21-9 which I believe is January 21st 1969. Came off a "512" cast 4 bolt main 427. They have never been ported polished etc. They have been run though. I'm posting these up because I have heard that these are a harder to find item in good shape and are used in Stock/Super Stock applications. I am building my 427 and could use these heads BUT my engine builder said my goal could be reached a little easier with aftermarket heads. Seeing if there is any interest at all in these heads. If not, no problem. I'll just use them for what I'm looking to do. But if there is some one who could really use these heads before they have too much done to them, I'd sell them or trade for a good set of after market heads with a 305-320 intake runner. Let's try $1100 for the pair. Did some homework and I've seen the matched dated pairs going for around $1300-1400 so a few bucks less should be good.
