Help on 360 Super Stock
Got a shortblock with a car I bought.Was told it was legal.Car was a J auto.Trying to sell it and when I gave him the piston part number it is not legal for J he said.Piston number is P4876978.Anyone know if it is legal for any Superstock class in a Duster.Thanks

According to Google, Your piston is a Mopar Performance .030 over with a 10.7 compression ratio. From reading my old rulebook, stock compression must be maintained - I'd guess that piston was a cheater short block!

360 piston all have a dish and around 8.7 to 9.2 Compression depending upon year and Horsepower claimed.

Well I guess I have been taken.Along with the weightbox deal and the other parts that aren't right.The car is nice though.Thanks for the info.

What did you buy and what would you like to do with it? 360's were only available in 74-76 Dusters.

360 is also available in most medium and full size Mopars from mid 70's to 1980 or so.
Also trucks and some full size cars from early 70's. We have race several of them in both cars and trucks. |
