Changing shifter to 3 speed???
 

Anyone no if you can change gate plate on a powerglide to a 3 speed for a 200 on a hurst quarter stick.I called jegs and they had no clue!! If i new for sure it couldnt be done then i was gonna go ahead and order a shifter tonight.I was wanting to get it done before the weekend and would like to get the shifter coming this way or could call hurst tomorrow and overnight one??? Thanks

You can convert the Quarter Stick Powerglide shifter to a reverse pattern 3 speed. There is a little block on the gate that can be removed to work with the 3 speed. You will need a different cable bracket on the trans, if you don't have one. If your trans is a forward pattern 3 speed, you need a different shifter.
