2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
Is anyone having issues with the new Credential Redemption/Purchase process??
I have entered for Gainesville on nhraeventreg.com as normal, no issue. Found the tutorial for the 2015 new ticketing system on nhraracer.com, OK cool. Followed the tutorial up to step 6: Enter the "Driver Promo" code and "Driver Password" provided. Where do i find the ""Driver Promo" code and "Driver Password" provided"?? Nothing shows up under Manage My Account -> My Promotions? |
Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
I just went through this today. I had to call NHRA and talk to a lady that handles National Events. She provided me with both numbers. Then the process was easy.

It is emailed to you when you register for the event.

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
The promo codes are emailed to you after registering for a race. It usually takes a day or two for them to come. Then you can use those codes for the final registration step. It takes another day or two to receive the email with printable credentials. Check your spam filter if you did not receive the codes within two days of initial registration. Also, you can call Abby at main nhra number in Glendora if all else fails.

It is a typical cluster
I did mine and depending on browser the instructions are incorrect The biggest problem is the drivers credential can end up with credit card holder name which may not be the driver First set of tickets were both crew Place several calls - got a second set One crew and one driver but it is in my name - which is wrong Was told they will take care of it at the trailer today They are well aware of several issues Ron |
Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
I had problems as well, never received the promo code, etc. Ultimately had to call and have one supply me with my convenient 8 digit alpha numeric code. Twice. One for each class. Obviously, Nhra has done their own deal now where the old ticket deal was 3rd party vendor. Another savings. Unfortunately, it appears the same IT guy that manages the always stellar performing live timing was the designer, lol. As Bruce highlighted, it appears as though it takes the better part of 4 days start to finish for the privilege of printing your ticket with your own paper and ink. Hopefully it will get smoother as time goes on.

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
Your investigative reporter has learned from an unamed source that the person who wrote the new process for printing credentials is the same person who wrote the new classes in Stock and Super Stock for the new cars and new motors.

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
But why the wait of 2 days to print your tickets that have to come via email? The old system was convenient in that you paid for the credentials and printed them right then and there. I usually don't know who is coming until the day before anyway.

Re: 2015 NHRA Credential Redemption/Purchase
This appears to be another instance of the NHRA taking a fairly simply process and making it painfully complicated.
