For my Super 10 build up it is time to upgrade to labeled shrink tubing.

Bring me up-to-speed with what is giving good service plus has easy access to reasonable priced replacement supplies.

We have used the DYMO Rhino # 4200 in the past---its a good unit sells for about $75 retail they also have others and the price goes up from the $75 dollar range to the $1000 top price for a Professional model--- depends on how many extra features you require--also Brady makes several different models not sure of the cost of them -FED 387

On the last 2 I've wired I used a cheap label maker using yellow tape and black print, put label on wire then put clear shrink tube over it. Worked very well the shrink tube keeps the label from ever coming off. You HAVE to use a heat gun when doing it that way or the tube can get too hot and turn dark.

I have a Brother PT-E300 and really like it. It's designed for industrial applications, so it'll survive a drop better than the ones you can get at Staples.

It has a regular keyboard layout like on a computer keyboard. It does both regular labels and heat shrink tubing. Multiple lines per label, many different fonts, styles, sizes, etc.

It's not cheap @ ~$180 though, but you get what you pay for. Regular label cartridges are ~$20/each and heat shrink tubing cartridges are ~$30/each.

Think file folder labels printed on sections of heat shrink tubing. Use a label maker to type the label, slip it over your transbrake wiring group and burn it down. Then your wires are "Clearly marked and labeled". It sounds expensive but so is a zillion different colors of mil spec write.

On a suggestion,

print sheet of desired text on office printer, cut to size with scissors, slip inside clear shrink tubing. Here is a scrap test wire.

Vola, cost of new label equipment = "Zero"

That stuff is only $15 for 50 feet on Amazon. I didn't even know they made it clear.
