A sunny day at the Atco Open "Live From" today
 

Hello everyone, its a gorgeous day at Atco. The weather could not better if your looking to set records. Temperature range was from the low 60's to 70 for testing and record runs. There was 5 record attempts today that I know of, there maybe be a few more.

I will be back in a few while I edit photos and videos. I also have the numbers for the records that were attempted today. Here are a few photos of the day, I will be back shortly.

Well kids here's the thing - this should be a "live from" with both Kenny and I but even the perfect plans sometimes workout as we all know. First the boss shows up without his racecar ( again no engine ) and planned to stay today and leave the rest of the weekend up to me .But those plans went right into the toilet when it was discovered that my trusty Camaro presently is without third gear .Although it was suggested that I run it to the eight mile and coast ( they said I could probably run the index ) but unless there is a major miracle happening tonight I'll be heading home .My record is intact -two weekends and two rain check credits .

Anyway its another Chamber of Commerce day here at Atco Raceway -temps in the seventies and a whopping 30.30 barometer .

If you're a record setter and are not here shame on you .Today is even a great day to watch as there are plenty of cars trying- B/SA has three and at this moment Dave Ficcaci is leading the pack @9.91 and is trying to get it even lower in his '69 Camaro .Kenny has the rest of the numbers and will post them later after his autograph session is finished -- there's quite a line so it may be awhile .

Tear down is tomorrow, so all attempts are pending tech. Chris was able to enter twice to set the G and H records.

Here is the first video, I have 2 more and some more photos. I think Joe Garbarine went a 9.04 in SS/DA, but not sure, it was a 9.0 something.

Hey Joe, I will do my best, but it will not be today. I wont be there, I should be there tomorrow.

Light rain this morning, but I would think the track should be dry by noon.

Some more photos from yesterday. A few other notes about racers testing. Don Fezell in his 08 Cobra Jet went 8.50@159 in FS/A. Bruce Noland went a 9.90@133 in his A/SA Corvette.
