quadrajet question

In an effort to test my car I am trying several carbs from a few different people. Question is I have one that came off a superstocker. What is if any difference between a SS carb and a stocker carb. Any help appreciated.

Charlie, I am sending Dean my 1901 edlebrock for him to do, just wanting to try a few and make sure I don't have any other issues.

Jamie,

Most S/S carbs are setup with quick opening secondaries & need to be re-adjusted for stockers ... They feed too much fuel to quick, but it won't hurt to try it ??? Good Luck & Dean will set you straight ...

Thanks Dave, I kinda figured it was just a setup thing. I can work with that. The one I am sending Dean will surge at times and has a huge flat spot that only happens on track. We can't seem to find the issue.
