Monster !!! sponsorship????
Seems Force racing specifically the TF car of force racing has picked up Monster Energy Drinks as a major sponsor and an associate sponsor for the rest of the herd--- Thought NHRA specifically ruled that ABSOLUTELY no other energy drinks other than those of the Coca Cola Company would be allowed to have any signage (advertising) appear on uniforms/haulers/race cars/ race track premises--TOTALLY VERBOTEN!!!!!- OK what happened??? Is it JFR racing or what- curious minds want to know --FED 387

Coca Cola owns the distribution rights to Monster.

Re: Monster !!! sponsorship????
Didn't Kenny Bernstein loose his Monster Sponsorship because of this rule? This was when Poweraid ran the show? This is Coke owned correct?

Re: Monster !!! sponsorship????
PowerAide and RockStar are on the Wiki list, but I don't see Monster.
Link:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Coca-Cola_brands EDIT: In August 2014 Coke bought a 16.7% stake in Monster. No news that they have sold it, so Coke is a part owner of Monster. Dale |
Re: Monster !!! sponsorship????
Dale,
It looks to me like they just bought into the Monster brand and are doing the marketing and distribution. (15% share) I don't think it will carry the Coke-A-Cola branding. Coke will still have it's own brand of power drinks. Monster will still be it's own company and brand. I could be wrong, but that is what I think I see. |

Re: Monster !!! sponsorship????
well after looking into this deal it seems Coke bought a portion( 16%) of Monster for $2 BILLION CASH to get the Monster "juice" business and it looks like they are going to divest their (Coke's) energy drinks to Monster Co.---so technically its " in house" and not a violation of the ruling prohibiting other energy drinks. Wonder what would happen if another company say Pepsi bought the other 85% what would be the outcome???
