Predicted 95-96 high (106 Heat Index), 10-20% Chance of rain. Mineshaft not expected. AHFS cancelled because the computer melted down. Still at home, will search for gossip and rumor upon arrival. Could easily be a 2 day race.

Jeez Jeff, with those weather conditions you'll probably only be able to run 1.15 to 1.19 under with your new C stock Challenger !!! lmao.

Now Mr. Jim we will be lucky to get to 1.00 under, the beer doesn't stay as cold with the outside temp being so high which the car picks up on that so its not going to run properly. Everything has to line up just perfectly for these Cajun cars to run right!

57 Stock and 32 SS in the first two hits. One more SS has come in. Really a pretty good turn out.. Lots of T/S and T/D. It will be a 3 day race. S/SS combo on right now. Not much controversy, but it's early. It's hot. Real Hot. It's so hot, the humidity has burned off to about 35%. Started at 95% this morning. One thing of note, the rule in the book about 6" numbers has raised it's head. No one tossed, but seems to be a California deal. Indy seems to be the target.

Wound up 64 in Stock and 34 in SS. Hot Hot Hot Cliff, the starter, has done a great job keeping the line working for the most part. Tough job. None of our cars have had any trouble. A few have. I think there were over 300 cars here even in the heat. One round in the books for everyone except T/S & T/D I think. Good count in those classes. 5 in Comp. Pretty good rain at the close of the day. Temporary cool followed by steamy roads. Finish today. How come I just ain't as good as Miss Patsy on this stuff. Sorry.
