Western Swing Travelers
 

With the "Swing" in progress as I type this, I was checking the entry list for Seattle's upcoming event and was pleasantly surprised to see some out of division cars from back east making the trek up here to battle the usual suspects roaming the staging lanes from divisions 6 and 7. Hows this:
198 H/SA Steve Szupka '69 Camaro from Pennsylvania.
1426 D/SA Jerry Hatch '71 Plymouth from Maine.
1781 FS/F Dan Fletcher '15 Camaro from New York (certainly no stranger to this track).
339L C/SA Randi Lyn Shipp '67 Firebird from Indiana.
5009 B/SA Scott Burton '70 Formula from Colorado.
Its always fun to check out cars you'd never regularly get to see, and heres an opportunity for our local fans to meet, greet and thank these racers for making the long haul out here to the NW.

Just myself will be making the trip and not my car. I'm lucky enough to be driving Dave Barcelon's Truck Town 69 Camaro. I'm really looking forward to making the trip to Seattle and racing in D6 for the first time. Stop by and say hello.

The Randi Shipp car is a ride-along with Bo Butner's Pro stock entry.

Good to see Erica, Bo and Jeggie on the list, too. I think this might be Jeg's first race in PS of the season.

And welcome to Joey Gross and Aaron Strong in PS as well. I love to see new faces.

EDIT: All these guys better bring their A game. D6 Stock/Super Stock is packed with talent.
EDIT: Jegs has a wagon entered in S/ST and Ford AAA/SA racer Karen Comstock has a Chevy running in S/G...

Sounds like a fun weekend.

Will do, Steve. You've got an excellent ride for this event. Dave's Camaro is well prepared and very competitive and Dave is a friend of mine, so I'll probably come pester you guys on Friday morning. Enjoy the trip.

Danny , I have met Scott Burton and he is a good guy to know. He will be driving Angela Bushmaker's Valiant (K/SA) at the Nationals. He was out for our combo race on the 11th of this month for a trial fit. Fit well and went a couple of rounds. Well ofF to another day of Goodguys fun. If you make it down I am in the Showplex with the model car guys. Hope to see you soon.

Thanks Ron,, hope you had fun with your miniature drag strip this weekend on display. I was hoping Scott would've brought the Firebird, since I was looking forward to seeing that car run in some potentially great conditions, but I understand. He'll do well with Angela's car, I'm sure. I'll see you Friday up there,, its always the best day in my opinion. As you know there'll be a lot of friends of ours racing up there this year.
