Roll cage question
I don't have an NHRA rule book available, at what class in super stock is cage required?
Thanks, John Beasaw III |
Re: Roll cage question
SS/I or lower

Re: Roll cage question
That should be SS/I including automatics and above. Also any car running 9.99 and quicker is required to have a cage instead of just a roll bar.

Re: Roll cage question
So I'm safe with a bottom feeder ss/ja with a roll bar. Should be about .30 under in the heat.
Thanks for the info. |

Re: Roll cage question
The most successful racers I know run SS/MA, P/SA, K/SA (National Record Holder) and U/SA.
It's the whole package that counts. Car and driver. Dale |
Re: Roll cage question
The car is currently in crate motor trim. But looking for an NHRA option, it has the race seats ,weight box and a 9" slick. Use current shortblock, add mid range used ss heads and a roller cam. And the trans brake. Won't be fast but just enough to play.
Thanks for the advice guys. |
