Brothers in The Finals

Anyone know how many times. I was at Dallas awhile back and the Mawhee brorthers did it and I think the Lang brothers from Washington accomplished it. Any others?

Add the Waldo's to the list and probably the Emmons.

I don't have the list in front of me but I know it includes:

Edmond and Scotty Richardson (twice)
Jody and Toby Lang (four times)
The Coughlin brothers (Troy and Jeg in Pro Stock)
The Emmons Brothers
Tony and Cruz Pedregon
Jimmy and Tony DeFrank
Korey and Keith Mawhee
Eric and Gary Waldo (twice)
Jeremy and Jeff Hefler

Surprisingly, Peter and Sal Biondo have not raced in a national event final but they've won the same event on numerous occasions

Not a National Event, but still pretty cool. My brother and I raced each other on two different occasions in the finals at Indy this year in Sportsman class, each winning once.

Its such a cool feeling going into the finals knowing that the check is going home with family either way...but not wanting to let your sibling get the bragging rights! And that was just a weekly bracket race...I can't imagine the feeling it would create if you did it at a National Event!

That is a pretty good list of racers there, pretty neat to see so many families involved and doing this sport together and succeeding together.

Yes we are sir! Thanks for those kind words. The Emmons' are triplets, plus a brother. Don't know if two of the triplets raced in a National Event final but as long as they have been racing I would guess it had to have happened at least once. Can anyone verify?

And people keep calling us "boys." We are 48 years old now. But I guess we are still a few years younger than those calling us that.

Your a LOT of years younger than a lot of us. Wish I was 48 again.

Gary Emmons def. Jerry Emmons, 2007 JEGS SPORTSnationals, Belle Rose.

Of course as triplets, their chances are 33-percent better than twins. Regardless, it's a rare and memorable feat especially in light of the quality of today's competition.
