Chevrolet 267 engines up for grabs

I have a friend here in central IL who has a couple of these from parted out El Caminos of the late 70s he wants to sell. Engines are complete and were running when removed within the last year, so consider them good rebuilders. Thought you Stocker guys might want first chance before he turns them loose on Craigslist to the masses. He's asking $450 each OBO.
Phone Carl at 217-254-0856 during normal waking hours Central time for all the info.

Yes I did, mainly in a variety of AMC cars with the occasional Dodge Challenger thrown in.
From 1989 up till 2002. Then life got in the way!

Did we meet up in a couple of high stakes finals??

Man! Good to hear from some of you guys who went through the IL-IN bracket wars with me. I haven't raced at all since 2003 or so, and CCD has gone through some changes. Some good, some not so good, and I heard about them throughout the years. They're gradually ironing it out after some initial mistakes with the present ownership is what I'm now hearing. Car counts were increasing over this last year.

Guys, I'm comin' back to racing finally, just in a different way this time. I accomplished everything my competitive spirit wanted in the bracket scene, but I always had a part inside that admired the Stocker guys and what they were able to accomplish with practically nothing as far as easy go-fast parts and very stringent rules. For my own satisfaction, I gotta go there now and see what I can prove with yet another AMC car which as you know is my automotive love. Hence the T/SA '79 AMX ongoing build which will get me into the arena at an affordable cost.

Don't be strangers, PM me if you feel the need so I can get with you privately. We got catching up to do big time!

Yeah Brian the year after I won the D3 bracket finals we raced each other in the finals of I think the Memorial Day weekend race 1991. It was close. Great track with lots of cars and some guy who yelled like James Brown all night, great parties. The parties there actually rivaled Great Lakes.

I went stock class racing in 2001 with Tracy Reeder driving in D3 when the military called me. I know great people in stock eliminator that can help. PM me if you want. BTW I still hang out with Roger Keller, he is in Vegas, I'm in Texas.

What class would anything with a 267 even fit? Or can you run a V8 in W/SA now?
I had to work on an 80 Malibu with one. I assumed it was a 305 but when I test drove it it was like a 305 towing a heavy trailer.

Natural U car. Can move up to T , but not down to V, which is a 6 or 4 cyl. class.
