Re: N/S Bell housing requirement?
CLUTCH, FLYWHEEL, FLYWHEEL SHIELD
Clutch and flywheel meeting SFI Spec 1.1 or 1.2 (2-disc maximum) mandatory. Steel flywheel shield meeting SFI Spec 6.1 mandatory on all V-8 cars with a clutch. Flywheel shield cannot be modified for clutch adjustment and/or cooling holes. See General Regulations 2:3, 2:5, 2:6, 2:10. |
Re: N/S Bell housing requirement?
Thanks for confirming.
I understand the reasons for good quality components in the clutch department. I found it a bit odd that factory seat belts were still allowed but SFI bell housings, clutch and flywheel are required. I’m not sure I understand allowing factory belts and no roll bars if you’re going to require SFI bell housing and clutch parts. Brad |

It's an RPM thing. Those "low HP combos" can still wind up pretty high. Especially a clutch car. There are 4 cylinders in SS winding 9K.
And do get a 5 point harness and roll bar. You can't put it in after you get run over by a 150 mph car. Dale |
