PAC Contingency
Anyone else having problems getting their contingency from PAC springs? They paid me for my national event in May but still waiting for my November Vegas win. Sent them an email a couple weeks ago and haven't received a response.

Re: PAC Contingency
I sent another email last night. If I don't receive a reply this week I'll contact NHRA about it I guess. I'm still relatively new at all this.

Re: PAC Contingency
I have the same problem again. Here is my story.
In 2014 I did not get paid for over a year and after many phone calls to finally get a check. I am still waiting on July 2015 now. I talked to Kelly with PAC on 12-19-15 about the July race. She took my info and promised to get it done. On 2-3-16 after no contact I called again and left messages on Kelly's machine and another in the general mail box. Nothing happened. On 3-23-16 I called again and talked to Cody who indicated he handled this a promised to get a check out. I am still waiting. I really like the springs and have had no breakage issues with them as I did with other brands however, PACs contingency program really needs help. My 2 Cents Rick Cates Canyon, TX |
Re: PAC Contingency
My experience with component suppliers has led me to the opinion that if you don't get paid, it isn't because there's anything wrong with their contingency system. They're just deadbeats, who signed up for something they didn't really want to become involved in, and then run away from legitimate claims by customers. In short, they reap the benefit of enticing racers to use their products with claims of contingency money, but then stiff them when it's time to pay. All win, no lose, unless you count the customers who walk away.

Re: PAC Contingency
they quit paying for suspension springs and opened up a new facility on the east coast - a lot going on for them - usually takes more than two months after validated by NHRA

Re: PAC Contingency
So racers should feel sorry for them, because they've "got a lot going on"? Could take up to two months to get paid? Rick Cates says he waited over a year, and is now waiting again. Their first responsibility is to provide the support they promised to their current customers. If you tell them you'll pay them for winning while using the product, pay them. This crap is exactly why a lot of racers (myself included) don't even put contingency decals on their car anymore. If getting paid is a crapshoot, I'll just save myself the frustration.

Re: PAC Contingency
I haven't been paid for the last Div 6 race from last year. I sent in all the proper paperwork, and waited. After numerous emails to them and Jill McKenna, I was told that they were not responding and that she would try another contact route. I did not hear back from her so I emailed again. I was told that they had little to no course of action and that kicking them out of the contingency program helps no one. I emailed my Div director and was told that Jill handles this sort of issue. At this point I have basically written the $ off. And I had already purchased a new set of their valve springs for my new engine. It is wrong that we have to chase companies and wait for months to get posted money that we legitimately earn through the contingency program.

Sorry you guys.
Have you tried contacting Jill "jmckenna@nhra.com" <jmckenna@nhra.com>, She is usually most helpful in determining why you have not been paid and can expedite the process. Try Graham Ron |
