Live form the MDIR Nitro Jam
We made the short trip this evening and are all set up. Its just started raining and is going to storm. The schedule for tomorrow is gates open at 9AM and a T&T to start at 10AM qualifying is scheduled to start at 2PM for sportsman and 6:30 for PROs. I'm hoping its a better show this year they have PRO Stock and Pro Mods this year. More to come tomorrow.

Well it rained most of last night, the storm wasn't to bad not much wind. The rain is supposed to be out of here around 8AM we'll see. The rest to the weekend is going to be good. There's a good number of cars here already I hope this is a good race for the track and IHRA.

Re: Live form the MDIR Nitro Jam
Track drying started a while ago but there's a lot of water to get rid of. If the sun would come out it sure would speed things up. At the rate there going it will be a while probably 2 or 3PM before anyone gets on the track. The rest of the weekend is supposed to be good. Come on down.

Re: Live form the MDIR Nitro JAm
Well the rains stop yesterday morning and we where on the track around 3PM. The rest of the day was post card beautiful with a high temp of 79 degs DA was 1950. The pro qualifying went off pretty smoothly overall. I'm not sure of the sportsman car count but there seem to be 20 to 30 cars in most classes. Todays weather looks to be a repeat of yesterdays and things are scheduled to get moving around 9AM.
One of the benefits of being at a race so close to home. Our oldest son Jason his wife Lindsey and kids Lacie & Addison where able to come to the track (that was a great fathers day gift) http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/...psl3tljdqa.jpg http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/...pssop2q23j.jpg http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/...psnw6rexas.jpg http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/...psfngzwkzt.jpg |

Re: Live form the MDIR Nitro JAm
Well we had some BAD excitement in HR this morning. Matt Robinson crashed his beautiful 55Chevy during the 1st time run. Matts fine and got right out of the car and the car survived pretty well (for being on the roof). Not sure what happened, something at the stripe. But as I've said Matt is fine and working on the car.

Talked to Matt Robinson with the 55 Chevy he blew the motor and put the car on the roof very unfortunate such a beautiful car and admittedly he had no diaper. obviously he said it will be on the next car

Re: Live form the MDIR Nitro JAm
Been a long day, mine ended in the 3rd round when I forgot how to drive the stripe again. But we did have a winner in our group. Craig Porter pulled off the win in SR. Congrats on your win buddy you deserved it.

Another beautiful day in store for us today and another chance to be a winner I really like the 2 race format. Today will go fast, no pros to deal with I think we get started at 9am. Here are some photos from yesterday.
