Fields Set for 3rd Annual ATI / Autometer Shootout
 

ATI Racing Products (Baltimore, Md) & Autometer Instruments (Sycamore, Il) have teamed up along with Lantier Construction (Moorestown, NJ) to become title right sponsors of the Mid Atlantic .90 Top 8 Shootout to be held at Cecil County Dragway on July 16th. Drivers in all three classes (Super Comp, Gas & Street) has battled their way for over a year to earn a spot in this elusive race that will take place after Race # 3 is completed on Saturday.

In the 2015 version of the shootout, Kevin Scholl defeated Jeff Livezey Sr. in Super Comp when both drivers ran on the 8.90 dial but, a slight starting line advantage gave the nod to Scholl. 2015 MASGA Champion Earl Nichols Jr. made it a “Double-Up” as just moments before the final round of the Shootout, Earl claimed the MASGA race for that day. Nichols, defeated Rich Price’s Corvette in the final of the shootout. Rounding out the final class was Super Street. Jimmy Stack took the Livezey & Garbinski Dodge to victory over Jegs All-Star representative Jason Lawrence to claim his first Top 8 Shootout. All three drivers earned automatic berths into this year’s shootout with their wins in 2015.

Pairing are not set yet but, will be determined following the 2nd qualifier for Race # 3 and drivers will begin to prepare for the event following the completion of Race # 3.
