Re: Hospice house
More sad news out of WNY. Now I know I need to get into my old slides and negatives as I know I have Pictures of Brain back 35ish years ago, ran a black with color trim C/ED at the time, think I have pictures of the car at the old Autorama too with a nice lookin lady sitting in the car.
Back when they ran IHRA divisional at Lancaster (79-80 time frame) Brian got tangled with an econo altered out of Ohio on the top end. Memory has it the altered accidentally hit reverse and the rear end blew out of the roadster, hit Brians car, not terrible damage if I recall but Brian had a concussion. Altered was trashed, driver made it but lost some fingers and probably more. Brian as I recall was a real likable guy. Oddly enough it was at that event that they had a funny car booked in and it was brought out for a burnout and some throttle hits for the Saturday evening Roundy Round fans to promote the drags and the IHRA divisional. The Funny Car was Chuck Etchells Future force and we also arranged to take pictures of it in the pit area with the woman who used to do the old Buffalo Talkin Proud commercials (Need to pour bleach in my ears to wash out the memory of those old tacky commercials). I know I have those pictures too so need to dig those out as well. Anyway just heard Chuck Etchells passed away yesterday.....only 61. Makes one feel old, seems like yesterday but so much of this is getting to be long ago. |
