I thought about Johnny just as soon as I saw this. I thought he was a New Orleans police officer if he hasn't since retired.

John is retired. As a State Trooper the past few weeks have been tough. Praying for the officers and their families.

Our "son" is a police detective. Makes every single day seriosuly stressful.
Our country needs serious help! Let alone our planet. Have to fix it at home before you can other places. This upcoming election may be the most important for our futures. Prayers to those who protect us. |

Johnny is alive and well and retired from the NOPD. He now works as an investigator for the St. Tammany D A's office. We worked on the race car all weekend as we do every weekend.

Re: Baton Rouge shootings hope John Duzac is ok
Thanks everyone for thinking about me in this time of despicable horror taking place in many U.S. Cities. I've been retired since 2012. No one is shooting at me anymore. However, there are several guys shooting at my Camaro!
Brett Candies, I did not know your son was a policeman. How many years on the job does he have? Now would be a good time to begin a new career at Otto Candies! One final thought. If you are stopped for a simple traffic violation, keep your hands in plain view on the steering wheel. Listen to the instructions and tell the policeman what you are going to do. When asked for a DL, say, I'm going to get my drivers license. Tell him if you have a gun in the glove compartment. Move slowly. The officers on the street do not know you. They want to go home at the end of their shift. At night, turn on your dome light. Yes sir, no sir. It is a very dangerous time to be a police officer! |
