What will be the new excuse...

I don't post on here very often but do a lot of reading. I find this topic almost mirroring our last election. People know the terms and rules of the deal going in and then want to piss and moan when it don't go there way. I don't give a **** either way as some have previously stated that if you're red you don't deserve to win. Here's a novel idea, don't red light and let the pigeon next to you do it so there is no argument. I find it ironic that the people that do most of the winning do the least of the talking. I believe that IF you changed this rule, the same people will continue to win and the same will continue to lose. What would be the new excuse...I redlit first but so did the other guy but mine was worse so I still lost. If you politicians spent as much time on your practice tree as you do your keyboard you might actually surprise yourself. Please find something constructive to do with your time as all of the self legislating is killing this sport and driving people away. Yeah, I need lots of help so don't bother.

I believe that if you DON'T change this rule, the same people will continue to win and the same will continue to lose.

As far as election analogies go, only thing I'd say is yes, some changes are bad (last 8), and some could be good (next 8).

And I believe that if you do change the rule, the same people will continue to win, and the same continue to lose.

The best drivers are the best drivers. And the best drivers who race the most will win the most, it's a matter of driver quality, seat time, and the law of averages.

I really don't care if the rule is changed or it isn't, I just want to race again, hopefully next year is the year we get back.

However, this rule change is merely rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. Read what Rampy said. That's the true telling of the tale. That's the gospel on the health of the sport. The plain fact of the matter is that the first redlight rule has been here since the first Christmas tree. It sure as Hell has not suddenly caused a decline in the health of the sport, and changing it will have little, if any effect on the sport.

What Alan said....

and if you didn't see exactly what Rampy said here's the link...it's what Billy said and I paraphrase " ..they (NHRA) just keep hoping we go away"...

BTW 'Tech-less' races will be the death of class racing if it happens, we've got bigger issues facing racers than this, let it rest already.
