Scardelli sets Super Stock GT/H record
 

Ray scardelli set the gt/h record at atco on friday with a 9.78 at 134+mph.

Wow!, that 1.37 under is a pretty stout run. He has certainly done his homework. Does anyone know what combination he is running? Don Jackson

Not sure if it is still the same, but in the past Ray has run the '64 Mercury 289 in a 1995 Ford Probe body. That's sure flying for a little 289.

He is still running the 289, his 60 ft times were around 124-125 and that run was with a headwind.

Back when that record was set I tried to talk Kip into putting his drive line into a GT/H combo, I think the combination of an 150 cfm more carb, and a 30.3 baro we could have done something. Of course Kip gets excited At a 28.90 baro these days, you got to travel Kip if you want the good air. :D LOL
