Gauges

In the past I have always used mechanical gauges for Water Temp and Oil Pressure.
Are todays electrical gauges just as good or should I stick to mechanical for my Stocker Project?

Robbie,

My experience is good with both mechanical & electric gauges. [disclaimer; I only have experience with Autometer gauges]

I find the basic difference is the convenience in mounting and wiring.

Stewart Warner mechanical gauges used to be the best, the new version I don't know.

I've been using the Autometer line for many years with great success, in both mechanical and electric versions. The only one that I always choose to run mechanical is the water temperature gauge, because it still works when the master-switch is off!
