Who stocks Dykes Rings
I am trying to freshen up my old Pontiac engine, old school .031 Dykes rings . I used to be able to get them from Speed-Pro , but not anymore . Is there any ring suppliers that stock this type of ring , or are they just custom made from a 1/16 th ring when you custom order them ?

Re: Who stocks Dykes Rings
The last buy out of Speed Pro put a big dent in their racing line, there's not nearly the availability of open stock rings that there used to be.
The new owners also intend to let the SS50U oil ring die off, apparently, they do not intend to invest in replacing or updating the tooling. That, more than anything else, really annoys me, as I have some really good oil ring packages with their stuff, and I do not like the Hastings oil rings most are using. Keith Jones at Total Seal will make most anything you want, within reason. |

Thanks for all the replies . Last time I ordered rings from Total Seal they made them from 1/16" rings . The step was as machined , no coating was reapplied . Didn't like the look of them , but didn't have any other options , other than buy new pistons .
