Questions for stockers with carburetors.
Do you guys use EGT loggers? One side or both? Or do you just read the plugs and the time slips? ... also for Q jet cars...how often during the course of a season do you normally make metering rod changes?...thanks

Re: Questions for stockers with carburetors.
I run a QJ in SS. After 100's of metering rod changes, this is what I would recommend - get 3 pairs of rods. A set for great air, average air and a set for bad air. That's all you really need.

We run a Q jet in S & SS and we are down to two sets, junk air & good air!

Re: Questions for stockers with carburetors.
I run a Q-Jet in stock and down to one rod, set it up for great/good air and forget about it until you have a heads up. Easy to dial when the Q-Jet is rich, no damage from being to lean.

Qjet on SBC I used #6 for reading as that was the leanest in all cylinders. 3 sets of rods. Great AZ air, bad AZ air, Tucson or Vegas air

Re: Questions for stockers with carburetors.
There are cars with sensors all over them, but they are only LOGGING data to review after the run.
