I sold some stuff awhile back that went to a couple of different people in Canada. I got paid in US dollars before I shipped. My local FedEx place had all the paperwork. I just had to explain, in detail, what it was, and the value. No big deal.

I use my FedEx account and they handle all the paperwork. They also have the lowest rates for shipping too.

I ship parts several times a month to Canada via UPS and the US Postal Service. Both are pretty simple and do require Customs Forms that they each supply. You'll need to state basics ie.: content, value, merchandise or gift etc. Email if you have specific questions or need help. Good Luck

DO NOT SHIP BY UPS!!!!! I'm talking from experience, they charge you rip off brokerage fees that sometimes have been more than the part. Have never been charged brokerage by the postal service or FedEx. Mike

We live in Canada and when we get parts shipped we have them shipped to the border on the USA side, to the package express shipping center. Since we are close to the border it is much easier and cheaper to go down and get the parts, all we pay is the cdn taxes on the ex-changed currency.
BTW we are on the west coast, near Mission Raceway.

I ship race car parts to Canada at least twice a week. I use the US post office and ship via Priority International mail. There is a small form to fill out that would include the value and the insured amount. It takes no more than a week, easy and cheap.

We ship to Canada and other countries on a regular basis. The customs fees are not a problem because they are paid by our customers. An original signed invoice (with two copies) which includes a description of the goods is pretty much it.

But, I think Fed Ex is the better option for private shippers because they double check everything before you leave their shop. Always get your dough in US currency prior to shipping. Credit cards can be problematic because the consignee may turn out to be a jerk and dispute the charge just to beat you out of your money.
