FS/XX Question
Barton/Wolkwitz COPO came up For Sale on FB yesterday. Former Pro Stock driver was here and was interested. Discussion led to Weights of the car and other makes in FS/XX. I had just watched GYC night before where they weighed a street Hellcat and I swore I saw 4900lbs(!?). Pretty sure all three guys were out of it while on scale. (it WAS late). Street version yes, but that got us searching for weights of the COPO, Dragpak & Cobra Jet. No real concrete figures, does anyone know? thx

The COPO I'm driving weighs 3540 with me in it!

Re: FS/XX Question
Is there any ballast in the car at all with you in it? Also there is definite differences in the engine weights depending on what you have. For example if you have a S/C engine there's 140-150# of additional weight right there.

Re: FS/XX Question
There is 25 pounds ballast in the rear. The engine is the 350 supercharged. 3540 is with me in it. I weigh 200lbs

Re: FS/XX Question
Hellcat weighs 4,400 pounds????? Can that be right? That's like a 59 Cadillac.

My cousins wife had a Dodge Magnum and it was titled as a truck rather than a car, evidently the vehicle construction platform is not a car and hence the big size versus a 1971 Challenger? I was surprised she could get car plates for it. Then again, here... |
