yes! the most underfactored motor in history of stock eliminator. look it up. this thing should be rated at @ 425 to start not 370hp..correct me if I'm way under on nhra rating..

Underrated by NHRA, not the people racing it. Its not there fault they read the classification guide and did there homework. NHRA is who came up with the AHFS, they just know how to play it.

if it were'nt for these people this combo would not even be in NHRA'S class guide as they are the ones that got the (pen meister) carroll shelby to write bogus letters to get them approved PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For years, I've been reading all the posts about Hawks combination being soft and how he had Shelby write letters to make the combination legal etc. etc. So whats the problem, is everyone mad because he used his head??? and they didnt??? If you were building a car, why wouldnt you use the best combination you could?? Build the softest **** you could, thats the smart thing. My question is why arent more people building a Shelby???

the problem is IT WAS NEVER PRODUCED!! nhra set standards many years ago as to what had be produced in order to be accepted.

why not build a shelby? not a problem but most would want to build a real shelby as the rules were ment to be before this bogus combo showed up integrity! I dont blame some for buiding it but it still doesnt make it right. Then NHRA gives totally wrong hp ratings that will take 20 yrs to catch up

I contacted the Shelby American Automible Club and they confirmed that it was never built with a single four barrel.

It WAS NOT BUILT.....how it got OK'ed is another story.
