Cobra Jet Showdown at Norwalk

2017 NMCA Cobra Jet Showdown – Summit Motorsports Park August 24-27

Cobra Jet owners are invited to join in on 3 days of racing fun at one of the premier Drag Racing facilities in the country.

• Exclusive Cobra Jet Owner Happy Hour on Friday and Lunch on Saturday
• Ford Performance Engineers on hand to answer questions and offer tech tips
• Special reserved Cobra Jet Pit Parking area

There are two classes to choose from. The first is the traditional Open Comp format which is a handicap bracket style competition. New for this event is the Factory Cobra Jet Challenge that gets you plenty of track time and rewards your consistency. The focus is on you and your Cobra Jet – and not reaction times or dial-ins. Here’s how the Factory Cobra Jet Challenge works:
• Racers make runs in each of the “Competition Sessions” on Saturday. Racers also will make time trials during the Friday run sessions. Racers are required to make runs in all of the completion sessions on Saturday.
• The objective is consistency – making runs with an ET as close as possible to each run.
• At the conclusion of the Competition Session on Saturday, the two racers with the “Best Consistency” – the smallest variance between all of the runs in the Competition Session – will run off in a bracket style race based on their average ETs. The winner will be the “Factory Cobra Jet Challenge Champion”

NMCA has provided free entry for Sunday’s Bracket Race for those that want to get in even more racing.

Please contact Gene Bergstrom at NMCA to reserve your pit parking space. Contact Gene at 714-460-3813 or gbergstrom@promediapub.com. Make sure to tell Gene the size of your race rig.

AND – there is the NMCA Stock-S/S Combo Class to run too!

Re: Cobra Jet Showdown at Norwalk

Mike,
Are home built CobraJet clones invited to this event including the Factory CobraJet Challenge? Specifically, could our 2012 N/A 5.0 CobraJet clone compete?

Thanks

Too bad the purse is so low, Ford should step up with more $$$ for these guy who bought these $ 100,000 + cars! If they can give $10,000 rebates on new trucks they can afford to support the guys that bought these Cobra Jets!
