Milan Nats
The forecast isn't looking real good for Milan. I wonder what shape the pits are in particularly with all of the rain that the midwest has gotten lately. Anyone have any "inside" info?

Looks like it might be a replay of Norwalk last year!
The intention was to head there today but I think I'll wait 'til Friday morning and see what the weather looks like! |
Re: Milan Nats
I'd call chris..He is the manager there. He is really helpful. Tell him hello from me too. Milandragway.com has the phone number on it. Good luck to all. And if you get a chance visit Mike fuller in the pits. He lives Fifteen minutes away and can guide you to local attractions. Also his beautiful homestead. Come on Dad win this one..We need it!

Re: Milan Nats
The pits are about twenty feet of sand, just like my backyard. The local weather people are saying that it will be warm and muggy with a chance of thunder storms Thursday and Friday. There may be some lingering rain Saturday morning, but from then on it looks great. Jim your not far so don't worry about a thing. If anyone needs something I live in the area and can either tell you were to get it or find it for you.Good luck to all this weekend. And I will cross the scales after every pass this weekend. I wouldn't want to give the qualifying sheet **** Scooter Peaco a chance to throw me out for running a .001 of asecond faster and not weighing.

Re: Milan Nats
I think we are missing this one, between the rains up there and my parents basement getting a couple inches of water (could of been worse if you seen Shelby & Mansfield flood on National TV). It's pretty wet around here and i hate to see what it looks like up there in the pits. Indy, if it rains, what a mess that will be, one run and go deal.

Re: Milan Nats
Moved it yesterday, ground was solid , even after the morning downpour.
Rained last night, but from what I saw yesterday, the pits should not be a problem. Forcast for today should let us get at least one run in, if not 2. Hot and muggy today, just like yesterday, but at the track there was a breeze most of the day to take some of the heat off. Sat & Sun look much better heat wise. Heading out for breakfast in a few at the 23 Truck Stop at Exit 1 , good prices and food is OK too. Since they closed the Denny's in Dundee, not many places for a cheap breakfast around any more. |
