what is the relationship between intake runner CC and engine cubic inch?
I assume that projected rpm, cam and compression are also involved. thanks Rod in AZ |

This is the Stock & Super Stock section. We have no choice but to use the NHRA spec for our particular engine.

Pick the head that has the largest cross sectional (CSA) area for the cubic inch you are running.. CC's can trick you because a long narrow port can have a small CSA and another port with the same CC can be short with a bigger CSA. The long narrow port will usually have high velocity that makes low end TQ & limits RPM, esp if they are small for the Cu in of the engine.
