Hydraulic Thow out bearing

Are there any stocker or super stocker stick cars using a hydraulic bearing? I have a jerico 4 speed.

Never used one in S/SS but I have used the McLeod one in a street car with a Liberty's T56 and it worked beautifully.

You may want to look at the rule book, as I am pretty sure it states no hydraulic or electric. Most convert to linkage as it's easier to get the air gap set correctly and for consistency and another place to adjust for RT. The electric statement prevents stick racers from using a magnet for releasing the clutch pedal in both stock and SS.

The 2017 rule book only speaks to air or hydraulic shifters and not clutch linkage...

Just sayin'

thank you, I have a 85 z28 that came with a hydraulic unit. I do have a manual linkage now. I was thinking in a 99 Camaro you would have to have a z-bar made. If any gen 4 stick shift guys could let me know who made it for them. thanks, jeff

Tom Russell @ Russell Performance has probably made z-bar style clutch linkage.

I converted Eric Merryfield's Drag Pak to a stick and did a mechanical set up .
We didn't feel it would be possible to keep the hydraulic unit consistent on reaction times ,plus you have little control over the air gap.
With a Z bar ,you can create many different ratios to change reaction time .

Hey Tom,
Would you consider selling me a Z-Bar for my Drag Pak? That would save me a bunch of time in design work.
