I know some guys run an air bag in the right side, for pre-load I assume. Also, what type of clutch are you running and what RPM are you leaving at? Sounds like a neat car!!!

the air bag in the right rear is the answer for the chevelle, cured my problem, started at 2lbs. of air and added more as needed also with a29.5 x10.5 m/t, air lift was the air bag product.good luck

What springs are in the car? On your adjustable uppers, do they raise the rear mounting point (on the housing) or are they meant to be used with something like "no hop" bars? When viewed from the side, at normal ride height, are the lower arms level, or do they run downhill or uphill towards the front mounting point? Are there any braces in place to stiffen up the mounting points on the frame?

Read Chevy High Performance magazine October 2007 "Get Traction"
Too bad Alf Wiebe closed his shop.
With his suspension system "you can hook on butter"

The lower control arms go slightly up hill at the front but not very much. Pretty close to level. What can u do to make them level? Running a ram clutch setup with adjustible pressure plate. Not sure what he has the base pressure set at.

Once you get the suspension corrected you might want to contact Rob Youngblood @ Advanced Clutches (www.advancedclutches.com). 124 MPH @ 11.00 would indicate to me there's a lot of ET left on the table. Like .400+. A proper clutch will make that much of a difference. Good luck!

The ideal situation is to have them run slightly down hill in the front. You can lower the rear ride height, and/or slightly modify the locating holes, check to see what you can do within the rules. Still need to know the attitude of the top bars, and how they are mounted at the back. As well as what springs are in the car. Has it been on a scale, or better yet, 4 scales, to determine what the weight distribution is?

Ain't that the truth. I'm looking at a couple of Chevelles now, I sure hate the idea of not being able to buy Alf's stuff. Shoot, he should get a patent, and let some one else make the stuff and pay him per unit royalties.

I would put a sway bar on it, I had the same troubles and it fixed mine. I would also give Global West a call they have some really great susension components for those cars. What trailing arm bushings do you have on it?
