“LIVE” From GLSSA Combo at US131
 

This weekend kicks off the six race tour with a double race at US131 motorsports Park. Close to 30 racers made it to the track on Friday night and many took part in the test and tune. Right now the weather appears to be threatening early Saturday morning and clearing after lunch. But where I am sitting all the weather apps show it should be raining and I’m looking up the sun.

We have a huge amount of sponsor support and I’m sure most of the readers here have seen all the great prizes, cash and product certificates that will given away today and tomorrow.

It’s a bit of a culture clash this weekend as we are paired with import versus domestic event ........it is probably one of the first times I’ve heard Sock and SS cars announced in Spanish. And there’s a number of very serious turbo charged outlaw type cars along with the amazing imports with tiny four cylinders ..... clutchless five speeds ...... and huge turbo chargers. There’s going to be some interesting racing to watch in between our runs.

Internet signal at the track this week but I’ll do my best during the day today and tomorrow to be there more live reporting.

8:45 update. It’s raining now and expected to clear around lunch.

Here’s the good news. The rain appears to have kept most of the local bracket cars at home along with the Imports. That means we should be able to get the program in fairly easily once the track is dry.

49 cars today. Strong support give the horrible weather. And we got the race in!

Light turnout of the Import Cars - we basically have the track to ourselves.

Tomorrow the weather looks good. Come on out!

I agree. The weather no one can control. US 131 did all they could to try and finish Saturdays race, Hats Off To The Track and the Crew!! . I too still had a good time , we all have been in these situations , handled well by GLSSSA , next stop MID-MICHIGAN MOTORPLEX , Stanton , Mi.
