Apparently......
...…the Dodges are .15 - .20 slower than the Chevy's and the Ford. Is NHRA happy now? Jim

Re: Apparently......
Not to worry Jim; Kevin will get it done
Only 16 cars showed up at Dallas, which is surprising to me since they've actually been giving the FS cars some TV time. Also wondered if perhaps NHRA told Joe Welch to not bother showing up the rest of the year. |
Re: Apparently......
When I looked at Dallas qualifying, I thought I'd missed more weight being put on the Mopar cars.
This is starting to look more and more like the V&H Harley deal where performance seemed to be rationed for a sort of chess match. But especially in light of another recent thread, this appears to be the new style of racing. It's not so much building something the best you know how as it is simply letting out just enough power to stay a half step ahead. Not saying it's wrong or right because that argument will never get settled - just way different from the mindset I saw when I started in the 1960s |
Re: Apparently......
They are racing for their championship at this race-this is it. Why would they "bag"? Let it all hang out in elims? A little chancey, but they all get in with 16 cars. Hmmmm........

Re: Apparently......
Extremely hot and humid. Lots of tire spin. Nobody is holding anything back at the last race!

Re: Apparently......
Please don't tell me that you think 50 pounds slowed them down that much? so they lost a tenth in one race? SMH LOL

Re: Apparently......
Do we really need to rehash this topic every single time a Dodge has trouble getting down the track???

Re: Apparently......
I just hope we can keep the Mopar guys "off the ledge" when the Dodges have a bad run.
