We Lost A beloved Race Dog Yesterday
 

John Frech’s handsome boy Hunter passed here at the race in Orlando. Hunter has been battling cancer for a year now and finally went over the Rainbow Bridge with John by his side. I’m so glad I got to see Hunter the other day and pet him. John left the race and is taking Hunter home. Please keep both of them in your thoughts and prayers. Jim

My condolences to John and his family. Hunter was a truly great dog. Perfectly trained and mannered. Never had to be on a leash and always by Johns side. He was very gentle with other dogs. My little pug pepper liked to visit with Hunter. Both are gone now.

Hunter was positively one of the best cared and behaved dogs in the pit area friendly to all including the kids. He will be missed by all the Stock, Super Stock & Comp racers!

Farewell Hunter...your friends will be along bye and bye. One of my comforting thoughts is that all dogs go to heaven and how could it possibly be otherwise?

So sorry. I can't even imagine that ride home. Hang in there. We have always went out and purchased a replacement, but you never really do replace them.

I second your comments, Jeff. We've loved and lost a bunch of dogs over the last 45 years, and they can be physically replaced by a new one, but they never leave your heart or your mind. Sincere condolences on your loss. Please think about rescuing a dog that needs a home and someone to love it.
