Live from Columbus
Well I'll do my best but it probably won't live up to Patsy Hills' standards. They tried to start things up at 10 o'clock as scheduled but someone had scraped the track almost bare so the first few pair blew the tires off and were allowed to retrun to staging for another qualifying shot. They stopped things pretty quickly and started working on the track, spraying and dragging. This went on for quite a while before they brought more cars out. A number of people got out of line and went either to the end or back to thier pit. My time slip read 11:01. I turned my stuff down a bit after I saw all of the problems and took a walk to the starting line. It seemed to work ok. My Nova system reported it was 1398 Ft corrected.
The second session of Stock started about 3:20PM. The track was much better by then but the air had went down to 1891 Ft corrected. Some people picked up some slowed down. Hard to figure what was going. Many people holding out some power for class tomorrow. Tomorrow things start at 8:00 AM. The air should be much better in the morning and hopefully the track will be better. I'll report tomorrow night, unless someone at the track has a wireless card and picks things up from there. How about it Brian? Mike |

Re: Live from Columbus
I would like to put a shout out that Travis broke his ankle yesterday!! Now then this is just what I heard...he was coming out of the tec trailer when he went from the carpet to the diamond plate down he went! they were to put a pin in it today... :( Now then how they can F-up a track in the run of a week is beyond me! My car went 12.80's last weekend 13.02 both passes today! like the third pair down blowed the tires off so bad they stopped and backed-up!! when was the last time ya saw that? anyway we also had a head wind that was @ times 15mph (or better). Hope to do a little better in the morning. ;)

Re: Live from Columbus
I got a chance to talk to Len Imbrogono this morning for a brief moment. He said that over four hundred people had voted on the button issue so far. The people for were ahead 51% to 49% against. The stick cars would have a much harder time adjusting to this change. I guess we will see what happens.Bob Scroedoers car is an iron head piece. Very impressive!

Re: Live from Columbus
This morning's first run was with almost no wind and 580DA on my Altronics gauges. I couldn't get the carb rich enough for the new motors liking but still picked up a tenth. The starting line seemed considerably better than yesterday morning.
First round of class saw about 2000DA with a slight tail wind with similar track conditions. I can't remember half the people who won class but I am sure that DRC has the results posted by now. Stock is out first thing at 8am tomorrow morning so we will see how fast the dew burns off in the morning. Brian Seibenick 3137 Stock |
