Do you get a grading point for participating at the Sportsnationals, in Columbus,..in September?? I don't know for sure

No, only Division and National Open races gives you a grade point.
Sports Nationals are the same as a National Event.

For a 'regular' national event you do not earn grade points.

Can someone who was at the recent Sports Nationals report in if they received a grade point from attending?
I know I raced all the Sports Nationals when they were at Las Vegas some years back and I never did receive a grade point for attending.
I am just curious if the system has changed now.
There seems to not have been a definite answer to that question in this discussion.

Yes, I received a grade point for the Sports Nationals in Columbus this year......

"The JEGS SPORTSnationals, the premier standalone event in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, will continue to be a national event with national points being awarded for all classes except Super Street, which will earn divisional championship points. New in 2016, all racers will receive an NHRA national event grade point for attending the race."
