Lee Sherman Memorial S/SS race Nov 3-4, Hagerstown Maryland
 

The annual Lee Sherman Memorial Stock/Super Stock race. It's November 3-4 at Mason-Dixon Dragway in Hagerstown MD (1/4 mile track). Saturday is test and tune. All the runs you want, $25. 11am-5 pm. Best Package Shootout later in the day. Five bucks, put a dial-in on your car, and run. One run, heads-up time trial. Best Package (excluding redlights and breakouts) wins the pot. Race is on Sunday. Gates open at 10 am, Two time trials starting at noon, eliminations around 3 pm. $100 entry, 100% payback, starting with $50 for second round losers, and round money doubles each round. Normal car count is about 40, sometimes even higher. A forty car field payout would look like this:

Second round loser = $50
Third round loser = 100
1/4 final = 200
Semifinal = 400
Runner Up = 700
Winner = 1500

Event is open to all NHRA and IHRA-legal Stock and Super Stock cars. All entries must dial their class Index or quicker, no heads-up Class runs.

Pairing will be random, for first round, if there are a large number of cars. With our normal 40 car fields, it blocks up the pits and staging lanes trying to pair cars. So, first round is random, one car pulled for a bye, and winners are paired for round two by Reaction Time. In the event we have a smaller car count, cards will be pulled to set the ladder for round one.

If I remember correctly, there was Sunoco pumps right up from the time slip shack.
