Just talkin' here #3
IF, just IF in some fit of ignorance NHRA was to decide to "retire" Stock Eliminator, what would they replace it with?
Would we all be thrown into S/S like the Junior Stock cars in the 70s? What would they replace us with that would have the potential to draw the #s of competitors that today's Stock Eliminator can draw? Would they come up with some kind of an "entry level class" to replace us? If they did, what would that "class" look like? |
Re: Just talkin' here #3
Probably toss us in Superstock.
Superstreet is their entry class......Possibly run it at more Nationals and emphases it more. It would be a lot less work for them not having to deal with Stock and the inherent problems. Nevertheless......I hope it never happens in my lifetime! |

OPPS = Double Post!

Re: Just talkin' here #3
I'm sure everyone else has noticed but it just hit me today that the pro mod quota for Gainesville is 50?

Re: Just talkin' here #3
They would establish index classes. 8.90, 9.90, 10.90, 11.90, 12.90. Only policing for NHRA would be safety. That’s when I get out of it and rip the “stock needle” from my arm.

Re: Just talkin' here #3
When Billy got IHRA and went to .90 classes that was it for me and IHRA.
Does that mean the pro mos will get the good parking spots on the grass at the gators? |

That would put us all in the same limbo CM and PS racers already have experienced. Just Brackets and Sputter Start Heads Up.. |
Re: Just talkin' here #3
Maybe split stock into 2 brackets, 8-10.99 an 11- and up. Dial in as usual. If NHRA had half a brain they would open up stock to 80 cars but have 64 qualified field.
