Long story short. I sent sets of connecting rod and main bearings to Calico to have them coated. They did a great job but I was worried that I may have mishandled one and called David at Calico. He said it sounded like everything was good, but he would coat another bearing for me if I was still concerned. I overnighted another to him on Wednesday and it was returned this morning - coated and looking good. Total bill, including overnight return was $5.78. I called David back and said I have to pay you more than this. He said " no sir this what we do."

I have a set of Hemi rod bearings being done now at Calico. Great product.

It is great to hear good reports on vendors.

Is the Calico rod bearing coating any different than what comes on the Clevite TriArmor engine bearings with the dry film coating?
