Just got the word that veteran racer and former Stock Eliminator standout Ron Garey has passed. May he R.I.P.

Ron Was one tough Racer.He was a hard racer,good driver. he made me work hard every time i ran him. you better be on your A game when you raced Ron.he reminds me of Bob Gliden the mad dog!!! RIP old friend.

Thoughts and Prayers for Chuck and the family and many friends as they recover from this big loss.

Seems like we were just praying for recovery for Ron. Guess that wasn't God's plan.

Another sad day here, and another friend gone.

Jim C will tell...When Ron Garey talked , you had to listen.
Truly a hands on guy, from another era, I hate to say.
If Ron needed a T350 , he built one, himself. If he needed Q-jet, he'd build one, and keep fiddling with it until it was perfect.
Ron was an entertaining guy too. Also , somewhat of a philosopher . What he said about NHRA, 25 years ago, is coming true, to this day.
It's probably been said about them breaking the mold after this guy, but never more true .
RIP, my friend..You earned it.
