Burn down in Stock

Well, just when the water looks calm....E#1 in Baytown had a bit of much needed excitement.....almost thought the ghost of Buster was holding the starter switch....he shut them off and gave the 2 combatants a bit of a talking to...then after much fanfare....they played nice.....I rather enjoyed it, and maybe more of the same is in order.....popcorn wasn’t ready yet, might be now though....:D

I thought of Buster as I watched the whole thing. I figure that the dude with the camera phone running from side to side and sticking it in the middle of the conversation is lucky that Buster was not holding the switch. Also thought of one of the Emmons boys turning Stewart bright red as they were slow to stage in Topeka 30 years or so ago. Thought old Rick might have a heart attack. Not much social distancing on the starting line during the end of the burn down.
When did it start taking 3 or more people to stage a Stocker? Tim McAmis has an interesting video on YouTube relating to starting line procedure. A little raw but he brings up several good points.
Thanks to all responsible for making these live casts available.

Tim's colorful video is spot on I often think about it when I watch some people on the starting line.

A few years ago Jonathan Womack and Ron Erks had a burn down at a national event and they both got tossed. I don't remember who the starter was at that time.

Years ago at Brainerd saw 2 SG cars get in a burn down. Buster backed them out, gave them a warning and then watched them do the same
thing. When they finally staged the cars got on the chip and Buster waited to flip the switch. When both cars took their foot out of the throttle to idle Buster flipped the switch. Was a thing to watch.
