Stock / Super Stock Combo - No Problem Raceway - 8/8
 

There will be the first, of what will hopefully be many, Stock/Super Stock Combo. Race held at No Problem Raceway on Saturday August 8th.

Track opens at 2:00, Jr. Dragsters at 3:00, then cars at 5:00.

The race will be held in conjunction with the tracks normal bracket race program and we will be inserted as a separate "bracket" with our own show. The track manager is on board with our program.

As of now (and I will update as more information becomes clear) each racer will pay the normal "Test - n - Tune" entry fee to the track (I think it's $20). Then, each racer will pay a $100 entry for the S/SS race. The entire S/SS entry fees will be paid out in some TBD split for winner, runner-up, and semis.

There are some rumblings that a small pool of sponsorship money will be added to the pot.

After you lose, you would still be able to "test-n-tune", so there is that.....

There will be a meeting of those in attendance to discuss future S/SS combo races, as the hopes is this can be a semi-regular event.

Scales should be available, but not confirmed. If the scales are working the plan is to weigh cars that are in a heads up race. Other than that, it will be the honor system.

Depending on the number of cars at the track, the intention is to have 2 qualifying runs, then eliminations. Eliminations will follow the NHRA ladder system. Of course, weather conditions and other unknowns may have to alter this schedule.

It's about time that we had a series of stock /superstock races within our division. Now if people will show to make it worthwhile to the people putting it on.

If you would have it in oct or nov i would go but not in August heat!!!!!!!!! that heat will be Brutal.

Trying to make it a regular thing and likely NOT during the hottest summer months.

Hopefully one or two more in Oct. and Nov..

Stock/Super Stock Combo at No Problem Raceway this Saturday August 8th. Entry will be $100 with 80% payback. This weekend will be random pairing. We are trying to make this a regular thing that we can do from time to time. There will be a meeting to discuss future events of this nature. We are finalizing a start time and I will post again tomorrow with final details.
