Thoughts on a .90 Nationals
So I’ll put the feeler out there because I’ve been fielding many phone calls from racers over the past few days about putting together a big .90 race again since the 2020 season has been a big mess. This would be for Super Comp, Gas, Street and possibly Top Sportsman & Dragster. The location is TBD and the date well is TBD for the time being. It would not be at the same place that the Stock / SS guys are looking at to hold their event, I can tell you that much. I love Numidia like no other but, trying to get cars there is almost impossible.
Here’s what we’re looking at: .90 Classes: $200 entry Based on 50 Cars W: 3,000 RU: $1,000 Semi - $500 4th - $300 3rd - $200 Top Sportsman & Dragster - $250 entry Based on 48 Car Qualified field W: $4,000 Ru: $1,500 Semis - $700 4th - $400 3rd - $250 Right now due to COVID restrictions we may have to cap the entry’s and do a pre-entry type deal for each class. I will have more info as things possibly progress. And if we get some sponsorship support we’d be upping the payouts. So have at it, let me hear your thoughts?? |

Re: Thoughts on a .90 Nationals
Thanks Keith,
We're working very hard on this and I hope to have some more info in the next few days about this, if this does happen, it will be soon, very soon for this event, so keep the ideas coming through E-Mail and on FB...I know not many people post on here but, also looking at a Top 16 or 32 Shootout race Saturday Afternoon / Evening. Also any sponsors who are interested please email me at Rekeister@aol.com, I'm not looking to make any money off this event, I just want to put something together to help racers race. We all know 2020 has been a season we want to scratch off the calendar with races being cancelled. With these events being cancelled left and right, this is hurting tracks in the operating of day to day business, so rather then tracks sitting dormant for 2-3 weeks with no racing but, the bills still coming in, we're trying to put something together for the racers and to keep the track up and running. Now due to COVID regulations we may have to cap each class to a certain amount (Maybe 60-70 per .90 class and 50 in TD & TS) but, I'm awaiting word from the track on that, so for those of you who are familiar with big money bracket races or even the National Event procedure, once it gets approved we'd have an open registration process online and you would enter that way, once it hits the limit it would be a waiting list. If the race didn't happen or weather became a factor you'd get your money back, we wouldn't hold it for a future event. If a class didn't fill up to it's quota with entries at a certain point we'd cap that class and let the waiting list in for the other classes (You would be given enough notice for travel time). Some may say the cost is too expensive but, I put the price point exactly at what you would have spent for a National Event at this time of $320 between Race & High Roller and you don't have to run the High Roller Race, that is an option. You may also enter TD or TS if you please as long as your car passes tech, you have the proper equipment and if your running NOS, it's disconnected and bottle is taken out for .90 classes. Schedule: Saturday Q1 – SST, SC, SG, TS & TD Q2 – SST, SC, SG, TS & TD High Roller Race after Q2 for .90 cars - No time runs, right into R1, first come first serve on getting in (try to be completed before dark) High Roller Race - Saturday Night : 16 Cars x $120 (Saturday Afternoon / Night – No TT) Winner: $1,200 Runner-Up - $400 Semis - $120 x 2 32 Cars x $120 (Saturday Afternoon / Night – No TT) Winner: $2,400 Runner-Up - $900 Semis - $200 x 2 Sunday 1st round For all at starting at 9:15am - SST, SC, SG, TS & TD .90 Classes (Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street) Entry - $200 ($150 goes into pot / $50 back to track for rental) Based on 40 car entry Winner: $2,500 RU - $900 Semi’s - $600 x 1 ($600) 4th Round – 300 x 2 ($600) 3rd Round - $200 x 5 (1,000) Based on 50 car entry Winner: $3,000 RU - $1,000 Semi’s - $500 x 2 ($1,000) 4th Round – 300 x 3 ($900) 3rd Round - $200 x 6 (1,200) Based on 60 car entry Winner: $3,500 RU - $1,200 Semi’s - $525 x 2 ($1,000) 4th Round – 325 x 4 ($900) 3rd Round - $225 x 7 (1,200) Any questions, you can call 856-332-2851 Rekeister@aol.com |
Re: Thoughts on a .90 Nationals
Rob ,the entry fee vs. payout you are proposing is a no brainer compared to the NHRA divisional and National payout.
Anyone on the forum that has won a DIV or National race in the last couple years will certainly agree. I know I'll certainly try to find a way to attend if you go thru with it. |
