Sometimes you're parked next to the right guy...
As though I haven't had enough trouble thru the first 3 races this last 2 weeks, (including being stuck on the 15 freeway for 7 1/2 hours not moving because it was shut down because of an officer involved shooting}, when it came time to leave, one of the slides on the M/H wouldn't go in. After calling 7 mobile repair companies, I realized they're just not going to work on the weekends. After I worked for hours on it, the racer next to me saw the trouble I was having and offered to help. He had a lot of experience with M/Homes, but it was no easy fix. He worked on it hours also. Finally we got it in, and I have to give a big shout out to JESSE OMAN, engine builder for CLINT NEFFS comp car. If it wasn't
for Jesse, I'd still be in Las Vegas. There's not a doubt in my mind none of the companies I called could have handled it, only Jesse. He just wouldn't give up. This is the second time a fellow racer helped me out when I really needed it. I can hardly wait to pay it forward... |
